We are looking for a Chief Marketing Officer who is equal parts strategist and executor. You will not just build the marketing playbook, you will run the plays yourself. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on scrappy, high-impact marketing and knows how to make noise without relying on ad budgets.
You bring deep fluency in both blockchain and traditional marketing. You understand how developer communities grow organically, how crypto-native audiences discover products, and how to bridge the gap between blockchain builders and mainstream adopters. You have a bias toward action, a knack for guerrilla tactics, and an obsession with getting people talking.
What you will do
- Define and own the full marketing strategy: positioning, messaging, brand narrative, and go-to-market
- Lead content strategy across blogs, social, video, and developer-focused channels
- Design and execute viral campaigns that generate organic reach and word-of-mouth growth
- Build partnerships with blockchain ecosystems, developer communities, influencers, and media
- Plan and run product launches, events, hackathons, and community activations
- Develop creative guerrilla marketing tactics that punch well above their weight
- Grow our presence across crypto-native channels (X, Discord, Telegram, Farcaster) and traditional channels (LinkedIn, YouTube, SEO)
- Track what works relentlessly, doubling down on high-leverage channels and killing what does not convert
- Hire and mentor your first reports as the function scales
What we are looking for
- 6+ years in marketing with a track record of building brand awareness and driving growth, ideally at a startup or high-growth company
- Proven experience in both blockchain marketing and traditional digital marketing
- A portfolio of campaigns where creativity beat budget: guerrilla tactics, viral loops, community-driven growth, referral mechanics, or unconventional stunts
- Deep understanding of how developer tools and crypto products spread organically
- Strong content instincts: you can write a compelling tweet thread, a technical blog post, or a launch announcement with equal skill
- Experience building and nurturing communities, not just broadcasting to them
- Comfort operating with limited resources and making outsized impact
- Data-informed but not data-paralyzed: you measure everything but trust your instincts when the data is not there yet
Nice to have
- Experience marketing developer tools, SDKs, or infrastructure products
- Existing relationships with blockchain media, influencers, and ecosystem partners
- Background in product-led growth or community-led growth motions
